With the chassis complete and a running engine Verlan decided to invite the Grandkids and Family to a test drive
We fitted the chassis with a wooden cowl to attach the ignition key, ahooga horn and a temporary gas tank made from coffee can.
it was a typical Wisconsin winter day. Forecast of snow with sleet.
It added to a more exciting test drive.
Everyone had a great time.
Next week we start installing the body. Yay :)
Our original ahooga horn was very rusty and the motor was binding.
After lubricating the contacts, cleaning the motor with electrical cleaner and adjusting the motor brushes, I decided to give the horn a makeover as it will sit mounted in the front of the car.

We are using 2 coordinating fabric colors.
The multicolor pattern is for the door panels.
The sand color fabric is for the lower cowl panels, rear window panel and the overhead panel.
Today we fitted the cardboard panels to the truck, drilled out the mounting holes, and wrapped the panels with our upholstery.
We will install the panels at the end of this week after our window parts get here .
